Vocational Service Awards

The Rotary Club of Ballina-on-Richmond recently held their annual Vocational Service Awards evening at the RSL Club. Each year, members of the Rotary club nominate employees from the local community who have shown that they give outstanding service in their vocation.

Ballina Food & Wine Cheque Presentations

Club members, friends and guests gathered tonight to distribute the funds raised at our recent Food & Wine Festival. Chairman Col Lee presented cheques and donations to a number of very worthy recipients totalling $46,500. SALVATION ARMY – DOING GREAT THINGS Andrew Hambleton from the Ballina Salvation Army was our guest speaker last week. The Salvation Army Australia originated in England and began in 1880 in Australia, helping the poor and disadvantaged. The focus of future services is on homelessness, drug and alcohol counselling, welfare, emergency services and aged care. Members of the club had the pleasure of helping out with this years Red Shield Appeal. #TheSalvationArmyAustralia
